Vero Implant and Esthetic Dentistry is proud to be a certified provider of Invisalign. For our patients in Vero Beach, FL, and the surrounding communities this means that you can conveniently and inconspicuously straighten your teeth no matter how old you are. We know that past a certain age many people don’t exactly relish the idea of wearing traditional metal brackets and wires. They may look cute on that eight-year-old who lives down the street, but on an adult they can be a distraction and a nuisance. Invisalign, on the other hand, uses clear plastic braces to move teeth into their proper alignment. They are comfortable and unobtrusive.
Aside from the fact that Invisalign clear plastic aligners are practically unnoticeable, another advantage is the freedom they offer you. For example, Invisalign braces are removable. This means that you’ll be able to maintain your regular at-home hygiene schedule of brushing and flossing twice a day. With traditional braces, cleaning is more difficult, so the risk of cavities and gum disease rises. Of course, you’ll also need to continue with your dental checkups at Vero Implant and Esthetic Dentistry during your orthodontic treatment.
Also, because you can remove your aligners, you’ll be able to eat whatever you want. When people wear traditional braces, there are often a number of food items they need to avoid, such as raw carrots, popcorn, gum and sticky candy. Not you! With Invisalign, you can enjoy all your favorites at mealtime and for snacks.
Having a straight smile couldn’t possibly be easier than with Invisalign. After a complete examination that includes x-rays, photos and impressions, our dentists will work in coordination with the Invisalign lab to develop a step-by-step plan for your orthodontic treatment. Invisalign braces can treat both the position of your teeth as well as your bite. All you have to do is wear them according to doctor’s orders!
Each pair of Invisalign aligners is designed to build on the progress of previous pairs. In most cases, treatment necessitates wearing approximately 20 to 30 sets of aligners. You’ll wear each set for about two weeks and then advance to the next set in a series. During the course of treatment, our dentists will want to check your progress. But there are no brackets to adjust or wires to tighten. Just move from one clear set to the next and you’ll have that straight smile you’ve always admired in others.
